the party is when we first get that bit of almost slapstick comedy between Fred and Randy too, awesome! as you said earlie eva, their red and black clothes and punky hair really stands out against the backdrop of 80's pop and pastel!

 

then Randy sees julie: "hot, very hot"....love how he delivers that line, the first glimpse of that perfect combination of passionate intensity and goofiness that Nic gives Randy!

Thanks guys.....I see you've started to discuss Nic's magnificent maverick talent in his first starring role.  He def showed the world he had major talent and screen presence in the role of Randy!  I remember checkign out the movie with a girlfriend...and we're talking way back then!

the chemistry between Nic and deborah foreman as randy and julie, in that scene, is incredible.. totslly love at first sight.. the whole romeo and juliet scenario where the rest of the world stands still and it is just the two of them in the middle of the room! they are galvanised..magnetised to each other..their eyes!!! ! brilliant acting from both of them

And, that aggressive reaction from Tommy towards the two "Intruders", was, I think, out of anticipation for this two guys, with their imropriate clothes, that showed evidently, that they didn`t belong in the valley was just the beginning, that developed into Tommys jealousy towards Randy, who stole Julies heart.

@Lady A adn our sympathies are already firmly with Randy.... apart from the fact he is agorgeous soulful eyed hunka hunk..we now have seen what  a piece of work Tommy is, with what he does to Julie's friend...grrrrrrr

@Fay white she has gone on to do other brilliant things maybe, i follow her on twitter, a pretty amaing lady. butyeah..definitely talented actor...

Dang it! I knew me trying to yak away would backfire on me. Son just got home....covered in snow and dragging in his ski stuff. Time to run and mop up the mess. Much love to all....have fun!
