I found some pics, that could be also a wink: the eagle on Behmen`s sword and his helmet in SOTW and the steel-eagle from the crysler-building, Balthazar uses, to rescue Dave in SA:
Here are another winks: He played a NY-port authority cop in World Trade Center, he desguises Dave and himself as NY-cops to cover themselfs for the real cops at the end of the "china-town"-scene in The Sorcerer`s Apprentice and a NY-cop in It could happen to you:
Also I am reminded of two cops getting awarded for bravery, similar scenes in the movies, although the two police officers Nic played could not have been more different! Of course one was a NO cop, not a NY cop.
Indeed! That scene, you mention, came also on my mind, Lady T., but, as you said, it was in New Orleans, and I wanted to show the New York-connection in that one!
I remember, that he says "You don`t love him!" in two of his movies: as Seth to Maggie in the last library-scene, before his falling sequence in "City of Angels", and he says that to Zandalee in one scene in "Zandalee"!

I see you have our winking cap on Lady R! these are great! I had not thought of the "You don't love him" in COA and Zandalee! that is my fave!
have I mentioned the pidgeon wink already? not sure if it as a wink or wishful thinking, I like to think Balthazar was healing the leg of the pigeon in TSA by way of an apology to pidgeon kind for his Peter Loew moment! not forgetting the pigeons in Birdy. yes, probably wishful thinking and not an inter-referential link at all!
Well, maybe, it could be a link, Lula, although, different scenes, but, yes indeed! At least, there is a link between VK and SA with the pidgeon. Birdy I haven`t seen yet so far.
Indeed! Mine, too! Watched Zandalee last night, so I recogniced it in that movie, too! :)

Oh cool ones Roxy! I think the one with the eagle and the sword is a cool find, and the dhaving pics of Nic are, besides a wink, very hot! Love it when he is shaving :)

these are all great Roxy! would you say these are winks, or links between movies? for the purposes of this topic, i think we are saying a wink is what really seems to be a deliberate and overt connection, or reference between one movie and another, like the same line. I would say the hat one and the right hand drive are more links rather than winks! they are still very cool though!
Would make a great thread though, links between movies! The shaving, hats, etc. Also, and I not sure if we ever did it in a thread, but there is the Nic character looking in the mirror, pointing or running!
ooh..that is a tough call Roxy....whether Nic or the writers were consciously winking at another movie? who knows! but it is definitely an excellent movie 'link'! you aer so good at this!
By the way, how about I extend the topic title to Movie winks and links? several of the ones I have posted here are possibly more links than winks too...so that should just about cover eveything posted in this topic without getting hung up in the semantics!
Well, that maybe could be a solution! If you would extend the topic title, then I think, (at least to me), it wouldn`t be that confusing, what is a link and what is a wink! So, sure, please feel free, to do that! :)
