My "The Croods" DVD Review

I finally could watch The Croods! I waited soo long to see it, as I couldn`t watch it as it was in our theaters! So, I was NICxited, as I saw it for pre order! Of course, I pre ordered it immediately, and was looking forward to it, and it finally, arrived last thursday! But, as it was planned as a B-day gift, I saw it on Monday!

As I already read the novel, I knew more or less what would happen! But, to hear Nic as Grug, was so hillarious! I couldn`t stop laughing, as Nic has such a great line delivery!

As I don`t want to give too many spoilers here, I focus only on a few parts! The movie starts by introducing the members of the crood-clan! And, as in the novel, it shows, how the clan begins their day, with Grug, followed by Eap and then the other members, exept Thunk, the only boy, among the kids, as Eap and Sandy are girls, and who waited for the special signal from Grug, that would signal, that it`s safe, to come out of the cave! Then, as the whole family was out, they start hunt for their breakfast in "american football"-style! To watch that scene is so hillarious! At night, they gather in their cave, but Eap, gets curious about the world outside, who, her dad continuosly says, is bad (as everything new), she sneaks out of the cave and starts exploring the world outside, at night! There she meets Guy, who has so many new ideas, and tells her about his journey to tomorrow, that she becomes intrigued! The next morning, as she hasn`t returned in time, her dad gets angry and go on a search for her! He finds her, and she tells him about Guy and what he said about that the world would come to an end, but he knows a safe place, and that he wants to go there! Shortly after that, an earthquake starts, causing their cave to tumble down! As Eap blows in her shell, which Guy gave her, the night before, in case of emergency, they meet him!....They decide to go with Guy, but Grug doesn`t like him, as he is jealous on him, for having new ideas, which makes the living easier! After a few difficulties along the way, they finally reaches the mountain, where, according to Guy, the tomorrow is! And, after getting lost in an maze, but, finally, finding together, they reach it, even Grug, who finds an other way, to get there! At the end, he learns, that noone need to be afraid of the new!

That movie is so great and hillarious and funny, that I included into my fave-Nic-movie-list! It`s def watchable, not only for NICsters!

This was such a fantastic movie.  I love the breakfast scene too, but there is one scene in the end that I love the most.  "The Hug".  I will not say anymore.  If you have seen the movie you know what I am talking about.  I have the movie on DVD now, so being able to watch it whenever I want is Nictastic.
