Good, it seems that Europe (most part at least) will have a theatre release.
But, nothing for France and Spain for the moment...

Hi Powermad, Tues and Floderstarke! I have also read on a number of sites 2 December for the uk , but I saw an earlier date on another site which I now cannot find!

I had a thought about the general air of disappointment/ bewilderment about the distribution of this film. aren't films always released first in America usually?? Isn't it perhaps a good thing that is different this time?  How about  shift in focus: From a different perspective it is refreshing that a film gets a release in another part if the world first?! I don't mind when I see this film, as long as I do!!! International release simultaneously across the world would be i deal for every film but that is u likely! But I must say I find it hard when brothers and sisters in other parts of the world don't get a film release all in their country. But Ithink that is due to larger forces at work in our world than the distributors of the film. flowerface

2 months is ok for this movie i think. of course it can be very long =) but i dont know how long i will have to wait, it will probably take some time

It really scrares me, how quiet it is around this movie right now. Of course there are movies wich are big and some not so much and some are more succesful than others.. but this one ?!I can imagine how hard it is to provide a movie wich doesnt fit to the normal standard. but seriously i dont get what is going on here they are taking it to a whole new level, i know we will see this movie somehow but this process really makes me angry and dissapointed.

I´m apologizing but i really had to point this out to someone

Hello,

Part of the explication is that maybe Seeking Justice is "paying" the price that Nic Cage shot many films in short times. TSA, Hell Driver, Season Of the Witch, Trespass... Seeking Justice distributions was caught between all of these.
Why Seeking Justice lost in front of Trespass for example ? Stills mystery for me.

I understand you're frustration here Floderstarke, it's like this movie was sacrified for the others ones for no apparent reason (I m more exciting about Seeking than Hell Driver or Trespass...).

Quiet unfair.

@powermad: good point. could be a reason. when you say hell driver you probably mean drive angry. was that the name for the movie in your country?

I saw on 2 german pages that the movie will soon get a realese date for germany. probably next year and could be dvd but at least something=)

I'm very happy to say that THRJ will be release on theatre the 01/04/12 in France, under the title "Le Pacte" :)

So.. what do we have here ? well, i´m quite glad that it turned out almost good for this movie. but i still have some things i dont understand and that make me angry. first of all i know its a weird distribution but we have a uk realease so people will get chances to see it. and we also have pictures and trailer. (the typicall things you expect when a movie comes out!) and im also happy to see thaht there will soon be a date when i get the chance to see it my country. but if someone told when this project started that a movie like this starring actors like nic, january jones and guy pearce almost disappears for over 6 months and then starts in italy and then hong kong and at some point theres a english version but nothing about the us version, i clearly wouldnt beliefe him.what kind of production companys are those? what are they waiting for? if they were smart they would notice that the actors have so many fans in the us who are badly waiting to see this so why dont they just bring it to dvd. they almost destroyed the whole movie so it wont matter if ts not hitting the big screens.the main production companies (endgame and filmnation) didnt even spread a single word about this movie. if you go there sites you wont find anything about the movie and if, its still titled hrj and is in pre poducton nothing more. they dont even give you a short answer if you kindly ask them over twitter, facebook, or e-mail if theres something new about it. I really thing think this is rediculous.

Hi Flo, I understand, sometimes lack of info or a different pattern can be bewildering or frustrating about anything in life!  The whole process with this movie has been somewhat bizarre, but I almost like it because expectations are there to be shaken up. that is not of course the reason things have been so odd, those reasons only the film company would know. it does make you wonder how everyone inVolved in the creation of this film, including Nic, feels about it all. I am just happy it will reach our screens in some shape or form! action and it has given us a mystery to ponder over as well, you of course being the main investigator!!!

@Powermad: no. i dont remember that we heard anything about deleted scenes or something. what i mean is that if a movie doesnt get good promotion, i t will not get very known/succesfull and people and especially the media will report badly about it.

@ Lula: right, im just kind of sad because i dont think the movie deserved this and im really excited about it. also i always like to investigate about those things. ^^
