I voted 'others' because I love them ALL! for me he wouldn't be Nicolas Cage if he did not have the impressive range he has, and his unique quality is the abiltiy to excel in many genres! I am an eclectNIC !
eva would you like me to edit the word 'count' in your topic title? i think you mean 'type' or 'sort'? or perhaps 'genre'?
I like them all too, though I would love to see him do more comedy. I liked the Con-Air Nic look for action movies and since that look is long gone (which I'm so okay with), Comedies or Romantic Comedies - besides it makes for better DREAMS - TEHE!!!!!
I do love Nic in comedies, he is just really, really funny in Honeymoon In Vegas and Trapped In Paradise! His physicality and timing is as good as any comedian, look at Raising Arizona for a prime example. But if you think about it, his latest movies have humour, dark humour, like Kick Ass, Bad Lieutenant and Drive Angry. And Tues and Gina, I do long to see Nic in another romance, it's been ten years, that is too long!

Gosh Lady T, I couldn't have said it any better - EXACTLY!!! YOU ARE SOOOOO SPOT ON!!!!
It was very hard for me to choose, but I had to go with Romantic, simply because that was my favorite film of his and my all time favorite. Leaving Las Vegas.
I mostly go with Nic's action movies: Season of the Witch, Face/Off, Con Air, and I would be absolutely remiss if I were to not mention the two movies where he plays a certain flameheaded supehero that we're all aware of.
