Please excuse my hyperbolic title but............................
I have the SEASON OF THE WITCH DVD !!!!
Yes..here it is right now, shimmering in all it's holographic glory in my anticipation quivering hand...drawer of dvd player gaping open like a hungry mouth almost salivating with suspense! (yes lady trueheart, mouth.... )
Yes..What they haven't told us is .......... it comes with a fantasNIC holographic 3D sleeve!! oh my...i can't wait to slide the dvd out.. like a magical mountain rising up out of the sea!
YES!!! I may be gone some time..........................................................
Oh my..so much to say about this film, but i will hold back until everyone has got their copy.
For now I will just say, this film is visually gorgeous.
not only in the scenery and backdrop, and seeing my favourite actor in a period piece in that exquisite context, but also the cinematography!
Thh colours, the light, the energy of the film conveyed by the medium iself, it really is like looking at a moving painting, simply beautiful.
And Behmen........... is even more heroic, courageous, authentic, and frankly beautiful (both inside and out) second time around! oh deaer knight i wish i could stroke your weary brow
Got it! Will watch it tonight after work. I did watch the alternate ending though, but will give no spoilers. Anyway, I want to compare it to the original ending first before I do say anything, I can't remember all the details now.
It really is as good and better than the first time I saw it, I enjoyed it so much, and had time to notice things I missed first time, just details really, like the look of the book and map, etc., the beauty of Dali, and the zomby monk action, I think I missed some of that in the theatre with all the other stuff going on. Also renoticing how effectively Nic wields his sword, and his final scene; so perfect, and just the great comradery between them thoughout the movie.
Can't decide about the two endings, I believe I prefer the alternate one, except for one thing in the actual ending that is not in the alternate one which I think is a lovely note of grace.
