Does anybody have any new information about release dates for this film? The last I heard was that the title may change and that a distributor picked it up Oct/Nov time. No official release dates given though yet.
It seems Tresspass is being released in Europe the beginning of September..so hopefully that will follow here shortly after.
Hey Johnny, you know what, things are so very quiet on this film, it is odd! the last thing I read about it was in a January Jones article, just a brief mention that she was starring in it alongside Mr Nic. This one for example:
There was a screening of Hungry Rabbit Jumps last year in Long Beach. On IMDB.com a person posted on the movie thread page that the title may be changed to Cornered or Marked Man. He stated that the audience was given a list of alternate name and Hungry Rabbit wasn't even on the list.....which is a bummer because that title is way more interesting than something generic. I think Trespass will open before Hungry Rabbit because promoting a Nicole Kidman/ Nicolas Cage engine is more plausable in my opinon. Looking forward to Rabbit more tho.
only seen it for next year alongside tresspass and 1000 words but i was told spirit of vengence is due for uk cinema release for 17th jan has anyone else heard this or has it changed . the order was due to be spirit of vengence , hungry rabbit jumps, 1000 words then tresspass.
not sure if these are correct has film dates change all the time and they hold them for certain occasions for example halloween.
hope they get released soon ish though also croods is in the list but with unknown 2011 we will probly hear more news soon
i know season of the witch is due out on uk dvd on monday 23rd may has its the day we go on holiday so going to have to pre order it so i have it for when i get back .means a extra week to wait :( i hate waiting for things especially things nic related.
Yes I have a feeling we will see Trespass first..but you never know, January Jones is quite popular too..so it may get a low key release. I think Spirit Of Vengeance is getting a February 2012 release from what is on IMDB. I also saw the post on that site about The Hungry Rabbit screening and contacted an extra who is in the movie and he still doesnt know when its due. I am looking forward to both......though I dont know if the home invasion thing has been done too much now...I am still traumatised from watching Funny Games!!! If you havent seen it, it is a real nasty home invasion themed film with Tim Roth and Naomi Watts in.
I am more interested in Hungry Rabbit and it just finished re-shoots in October and I think it will be released later that people think because I am pretty sure the people in Nic's camp will try not to repeat the debacle of SOTW and Drive Angry by releasing his films further apart now. I would not be surprised to see Rabbit have a indy opening like Bad Lieutenant: POCNO due to its premise and character actor type casting. Also, it has a similar feel that Trespass has. Croods is expedted to come out in 2012.
thank you for the link, lady lula.dunno HRJ have been portrayed as a weirdanyhow it will be a good chance for nic to play a new role,i guess it is a reason why nic was attracted by this odd
hi lady true, maybe i know what is film noir(e)ish now.thanks for your response ,bt it really doesn't matter,i do hope that you can feel free to to be yourself, when you chat with me,so that i can make fewer mistakes
It will be interesting to see the dynamic of Guy Pearce and Nicolas Cage on screen together. I think they will play off each other and something amazing will ensue. I think it will be unique to see Nic in a role where he is not in control and has to answer to others. Should be a neat little film and hopefully news and a trailer will come out in the coming months.
"The movie was suspenseful and had good action but the ending sucked. Hopefully with the feedback they will change it."
Seems encouraging, however I hope they'll exactly NOT change the end. I 'm sick about re-shooting, and stuff like that.
I feel it's a serious project, made by serious people. Don't need to change anything, Roger Donaldson is a profesionnal and experienced director, so I take a real "director's cut", or nothing.
Well, that's not true, i'll see the movie anyway... :D

Hi Powermad, thank you for sharing ! It will be interesting to hear other comments.
I absolutely agree with you about the director's cut, let's hope there will be no pandering to the opinion of critics, and we the public audience get to experience the vision of the director.
It is a good resource for info on a movie, and i often check it out after I've seen a movie to see who all the actors were and about the music, etc. But the forums, OMG, so pathetic.
