Lol, the article is new to me Lady Fay! Thanks for posting starry and omg... I'm so glad the article following that title wasn't what i thought it was going to be!flowerface

Cool! and I agree about the Vampire's Kiss nomination, this performance by Nic is outstanding and even moreso because of his age at the time. How wonderful to see another acknowledgement NOW of a character Nic created over 20 years ago!

Nic did win the
1989 Sitges-Catalonian International Film Festival Award for Best Actor
and was nominated for the 1990 Independent Spirit Award for Best Lead Male for his performance in
Vampire's Kiss

I reguard Vampire's Kiss as Nicolas's single best performance of his career due to his age and boldness of the role and risks he took in it: (the cockroach and suicide attempt w/ a blanks gun).  If  Vampire's Kiss came out 5 yrs later, there is no doubt in my mind that Nic would have been nominated for an Oscar.  I am glad he at least won an award for it tho.  Nic holds that role closest to his heart and wanted to get the character right more than any other, he has stated.  Chritian Bale and Jack Nicholson stole from Peter Lowe in American Pshyco and Wolf.  That is my opinon tho.bouncyfrog
