Over the years there has been some wonderfully artistNIC photography of Nic, I thought it might be a NICe idea to gather some together for a new arty shot gallery!! Do you have a favourite? Here is one of mine, by Annie Leibowitz!
I have always onsidered it a hugely perceptive compliment towards Nic and his work as an actor who has a penchant for the more abstract expression....
......seeing as it is a homage to surrealist painter Salvador Dali?!
There is a slightly different feel to the two pictures for me too Lady Trueheart. It was intresting to read about the Dali one!
I do not remember where this is from, but have always liked this shot!
it is just a coincidence these are both black and white by the way,it does create an atmosphere, but i don't think black and white is necessarily more artistic! :rainbowcolour:
Yes I think you might be spot on with the timing...there were other pics like this around the time of 8MM.. it does frame his eyes beautifully..I love the shadows and the shape of the light over his right shoulder (left of the pic) always reminds me of a sailboat! it's like relief to teh darkness....
WOW not seen these pics for years . I have a few drawings of Nic done by friends they are amazing will post them when get a spare second to upload them.
I would love to see them Cagecrazy! I bet as a long term Nic fan you have plenty of yummys to share! this thread is for arty photos, but the Cagealot creative chamber is awaiting any kind of Nic art and I can't wait to see it!!
Here is another famous photography classic, a black and white photo of Nic in front of a raw metal sculpture by Anton Corbijn
I like it! That s a great shot. He is ensnared and waiting for me to release him. Oh look, he is starting to get ready, unzip that coat Nic, I'm coming!
Lol! he definitely looks encaged and in need of a release !
I like this photo tues, thank you for posting. It is similar to the Anton Corbin, are they from the same shoot I wonder? And is that a musical insrument under Nic's left arm?
Glad you like it,lady T & lady A,he was immured in an enclosed space, wasnt he?i posted it here coz i noted they were similar,i dont know it was by Anton Corbijn or not ive found plenty of enjoyable images on PicSearch andthis is the funny one,i guess picsearch shoul be right up your alley...
