It is so true about women and single fathers. I worked in Early Childhood for years, and occasionally a single dad would come along, divorced with custody, or widowed. All the mothers would fuss about them, and teachers too! Why? Because he is so brave, and it must be so hard for the poor man, and let's make him some cookies and invite them for dinner.

Well, I was a single mother for years and no one said to me, here's some cookies and come for dinner, you poor thing! It is challenging being a parent in itself, harder still without a partner to share with, and so I can relate to that part of it.
