Oh..forgot the reason I came in this thread! Kels, did you watch the Dr Who Christmas special? I loved it! Michael Gambon clearly has a thing about playing his grown up self and having childhood flashbacks, I will never forget "The Singing Detective" which aces Doctor Who.
I am a bit of a Doctor who head myself...have watched every single episode from the beginning with the wonderful William Hartnell (was treated to that experience by a Doctor Who fanatic who has the entire collection..but I must say he is somewhat disenchanted with the new Dr Who!) Tom Baker I remember fondly in my early childhood so perhaps he is my favourite Doctor. But ..David Tennant.. what more can you say? ...
Oops..i miss Doctor Who Christmas special (i didn`t watch much TV over xmas) i might catch it on BBC i player
WOW, so cool u saw whole collection of Doctor Who...i remember Tom Baker along with K9 as well Yes, David Tennant was best Doctor ever &..i`m starting to like Matt Smith as the Doctor

I watched it on the iplayer Kelsey! lol...I can see you are a David Tennant fan! loved K9, I wonder if the new doctor should have a new companion? As far as metallic companions go, I think CP30 and R2D2 have a slightly softer place in my heart...but there is something so quintessentially authentic to k9..the kind of clunky way he rolls around a bit like the older daleks! I kind of miss the anti slickness of the old Doctor Who!
I saw Inception last night...what a film. But I will never forgive it for coming out at the same time as The Sorcerer's Apprentice!
We watched Winter's Bone tonight, so much better than all the stupid action movies I've watched lately. Such a movie, beautiful and sad. The young woman who stars in the movie is a major star on the horizon, I would say, she was wonderful.
Sounds like a strong reccommendation Lady True, and from the look of the trailer this looks like another for my must see list, I enjoy suspenseful stuff!
Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'hoole - saw this last night. As animated films go it was very good. The story is great, I must check out the books. It was actually very stirring and LOTR-like.
Glad you are getting into your Doctor Who Kelsey maybe after you've explored te three new doctors you will go further back in time...shame Paul McGann only did the movie I would have loved to see him as The Doctor!
I watched The Terminator last night..it is on the BBC iplayer right now if anyone is interested...I had forgotten how many squeemsh parts this movie has... I definitely had to turn away!
I remember the first time I saw Terminator I was amazed, hadn't seen a movie like that before! I love it, it is one of my favourite movies. The scene where they make love is still one of the hottest I've ever seen. Maybe because of the significance of the act, but also the way it was done.
I watched Julie and Julia the other night and liked it more than I thought I would. It was sweet and well done, though Meryl Streep's voice as Julia Child was starting to grate by the end.

lol, good point Meg.... it is probably the most significant act of love making in any movie ever considering..I am not sure it was the hottest ever for me though! I love the relentless suspense and the writing actually, it is a great dystopian story...but I still prefer Terminator 2!
Anyone seen Needful Things? that was a tense little movie if ever there was one, supernatural thriller horror based on a Stephen King novel (not read it), a young Ed Harris, Max Von Sidow... had a Red Rock West moment when I saw J.T Walsh in it! Loved the way it wove it's plot equally between the characters!
The last film i saw was Alpha and Omega i know its a kids film but it was brilliant ( me and my daughter chloe watched it twice). The last Nic film i watched was giss.
