So, we've got the poster, the trailer and here's the official synopsis: ~
Milton, a hardened felon has broken out of hell for one last chance at redemption. Intent on stopping a vicious cult who murdered his daughter, he has three days to stop them before they sacrifice her baby beneath a full moon. He’s joined by Piper – a young, sexy waitress who liberates her ex-boyfriend’s cherry-red muscle car in order to help Milton. Now, the two of them are hot on the trail of the deadly leader of the cult, Jonah King, who believes it is his destiny to use the baby to unleash hell on earth. But the bloodthirsty cult is the least of Milton’s problems. The police are after him too. And worse, an enigmatic killer known only as “The Accountant” – who has been sent by the Devil to retrieve Milton and deliver him back to hell. With wicked cunning and hypnotic savagery, the Accountant will relentlessly pursue Milton at high speed across the country until his mission is accomplished. Fueled by high octane and pure rage, Milton must use his anger to go beyond all human limits to avenge his daughter’s murder, before his last chance at redemption is revoked.
I'd say I'm liking the sound of this movie more and more........and I'm thinking Nic likes the dark side of life more than the sunny side because of the projects he chooses. Just an opinion, of course! :)

Yes I'm really looking forward to this too, couldn't quite get my head around what the flavour would be at first but now we've seen the second trailer I'm there!
Amber Heard is rocking the daisy dukes there and with the 70's cars.. I might start calling Nic the dark duke of hazard!
I am hoping for some major over the top Cage scenes!! Hope he doesn't use that slow measured tone all through the movie, I want some hyperactive ranting going on.
Well...he definitely gets out his one hellova magical gun in the movie!
Lady T, Maybe he'll use that contained but seething kinetic Cageisism....with the occasional eruption! I'm thinking something like this... but way less comedy and way more hell like!
Miltons last chance at redemption should follow him crossing over to the otherside..because he died in a collision hence the waitress did not know how to drive..her license was revoked..he saw an angel..hence a vision appeared...angel number 333...gods number appeared in his dream...was it a dream? was it ? tune in and find out....,hmmmm...

creative take on it princess visionary! You should write some fan fiction in our 'creative chamber' section of the forum, a prequel to Drive Angry!
Wonder what put him in hell in the first place.. Going back to something you said earlier White Fay, in my mind, however much dark side his characters are involved in, it's never straight up darkness, it's always against his will, or involves some painful sacrifice, with the resistance to darkness, and the supernatural power involved is always to fight evil and work for the power of good ... Ghost Rider comes to mind. So you could also put it that Nic's films are not afraid to portray and explore darkness but his characters never succumb to it. His last fantastical role Balthazar Blake definitely fell on the side of good with zero ambiguity.
I wonder if it will be so with Milton... Or indeed Ghost Rider in Spirit of vengeance!

I am not sure you can say that about Yuri, that it was against his will, and I believe Nic's character did succumb to the darkness. He was a thoroughly contemptible, selfish and manipulative man (My opinion) who did what he did for greed. And Nic did a mesmerizing job, I totally hated him while still fascinated by his portrayal. A dark person can still draw you, I know from personal experience. So I can relate to his wife and her situation, although I think she was also motivated by her love of money and things too. Where that rotten core comes from is another thing, I don't think the movie really explored that.

Oooh yes I agree Lady T, about being drawn by dark people and in terms of movies, dark characters, it's very 'compelling' and powerful to be too...how about Bad Lieutenant! I guess I was thinking of his supernatural characters, especially those who have connected in some way with 'the devil'! But I agree, yuri could be said to have sold his soul to the devil Lol, it would be hard to find any remorse in Yuri... but I reckon i would find some! By the way this is not a judgement or statement of personal beliefs just an observation on characters and the interplay between darkness and light and the shades in between!
This looks pretty darn rollicking! I straight up loved My Bloody Valentine 3D, even if it turned out not to be about the band! Everything that could be put in 3D was put in 3D - eyes on pikes, severed limbs, you name it! I also got to see it in Texas with an audience of screaming teenagers, which created the perfect atmosphere. This should be a great arena for Cage to be at his most unhinged and intense!
Hi Sprocket! Yeah.. The 3D will definitely ramp up the intensity of what is shaping up to be an already full on movie experience!
It was interesting listening to Nic talk about how he worked with the 3D cameras to see where he could go with them.. Especially the part about getting his tongue into the fourth row of the audience! I admire the way as an actor he's always exploring and never afraid to try something new.
"I admire the way as an actor he's always exploring and never afraid to try something new.
That's just what I love about him - always risking and experimenting.
Can't think of any other actor who is as bold and unafraid to break the mould and continue to step over his own lines. He's like an ever increasing circle! lol!
