All of these are so fun and I'm happy to read and recall all of those scenes in his movies. I need to put on my Thinking Cap on (Knowing) ha ha to recall some others in his movies for me to watch over again. YES!

Here are the head rolling scenes in question, couldn't find any gifs, Lady G. The first video from Zandalee I did not embed because there are a few 'not suitable for under 18' parts in it. Just click on the link, it is right at the beginning of the clip. There are other interesting parts in the clip too, lol!

The second one is from Face/Off.

A revisit to a previous wink I posted, in which I wondered about beige volvos:

I saw this at IMDb. But I rarely notice cars in movies so I can't attest to the accuracy of this statement. What say you! Sounds like movie winks to me.

....In The Rock (1996), Stanley says he drives a beige Volvo.

....In Face/Off (1997), After escaping from the prison, Archer (Nic) steals a beige Volvo.

....In Con Air (1997), Cameron  drops the dead body of "Pinball" from the plane, and it falls onto a beige Volvo.

So I happened across this page recently, which definitely supports the volvo wink, I believe!

http://myblackbrick.com/2011/movie-bricks/nicolas-cage-driving-angy-beige-volvos/

Nicolas Cage: Driving Angy Beige Volvos?

...But it wasn’t always Chargers and Mustangs for Nicolas Cage. In the 90′s he drove Volvos in three different movies, forming the “Beige Volvo Trilogy.” ...

Television Tropes defines “Actor Allusion” as “…a joke or reference which is specific to one of the actors in a (film). It can be a little blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment, or it can be bigger and more blatant.” For Nicolas Cage there was a running gag referenced beige Volvos, which showed up in three of his action adventure movies of the mid 1990s.

It all started with 1996′s The Rock, a Michael Bay thriller co-starring Sean Connery. Cage plays Stanley Lightspeed, a biochemist working for the FBI who needs to defuse a bomb on Alkatraz island. Connery’s character John Mason helps him out, but protests when Lightspeed becomes tired. To which Cage blurts out:

Look, I’m just a biochemist. Most of the time, I work in a little glass jar and lead a very uneventful life. I drive a Volvo, a beige one. But what I’m dealing with here is one of the most deadly substances the earth has ever known, so what say you cut me some FRIGGIN’ SLACK?

The insertion of the name “Volvo” and the cars beige color comes out awkwardly, as if he’s reciting a character description, not conversing as a human being. It’s a ham-fisted way to show how monumentally boring his character used to be, and comes across more funny than serious.

Next is Con Air, a prisoner escape flick from 1997. Here a beige 245 is used as a prop in a grotesque joke involving bird crap and a dead David Chappelle. Using Chappelle’s body as a message in a bottle, Cage secretly writes a note on his t-shirt and dumps his body off a plane flying above Fresno California. Cue the beige Volvo, recently washed but about to get really dirty. Click thumbnail images for full size.:

Finally, Cage steals a beige 850 after escaping from prison in the movie Face/Off.

Now I am revisiting another possible wink topic from awhile ago, Nic brushing his hair back in his inimitable style. Anyone think of other scenes like this? Drive Angry one not very good, I'm afraid.

Hmm, just watching in Moonstruck when Nic knocks over the table, and just before he grabs Cher and kisses her, he brushes his hair back, such a cool little moment in time.

It reminds me of the clip from Drive Angry 3-D which some of us have viewed over and over again....oh sorry, maybe that's just me ....at the very end when Nic coolly brushes his hair back.

Now I'm wondering if he does that in any other movie scenes?

Oh..great posts meg ! highfive NICe find with the volvo winks, though I know you yourself had mentioned it before! flowerface

hmm... I think the hair slick back may also appear in The Bad Lieutenant..can anyone think of the scene? and in Trespass, the scene in front of the safe where the intruders think the diamonds are kept,  where he says "who's cutting them?" ( I referred to the correlation in my trespass review!) I need to watch them agan to double check this though!

Ahaa! the head roll is so cool! I  want to say ther is one in Seeking Justice...but that would be untrue.but there ar dance moves..and it somehow wouldn't go amiss at that point! lol!

Yes, I remember a scene in Bad Lieutenant, Lula. It was quite at the beginning, before he went to the homicide crime scene. I tried to find a pic or a gif for that, but till now, I couldn`t find one. Maybe, one of our other cagiacs could find one with that scene?

I mentioned this possible movie wink in the following topic:

http://www.cagealotcastle.com/t47509925/a-triple-shot-of-ghost-rider-spirit-of-vengeance-tv-spots/

flaming

could it be that this, from the second Ghost Rider: Spirit Of Vengeance tv spot in the above link

is a wink to this moment in the Ghost Rider (2007)?

LOL. Indeed! Although, different liquids, but def a wink!wink Thanks for posting them, Lula!yellowflowergrin

btw: I watched BL last night, and he does that several times, like in the scene (I mentioned) before he went to the crime scene. Then, he does that again in the house of the homicide and then I saw him do it, (you were right on that),  when he busted that young couple on the street!

May I ask something? I tried to read and understand, so if I got it right, movie winks are things between movies that may redirect to another movie?

Hi Eva, yes, kind of! 'movie winks' means something  in one movie that is the saem or similar to another, and may be a deliberate wink or just a simlarity we have noticed!! If you read through the whole topic, I think it will become clear!

On the case Lady Roxy!!! so there are several in The Bad Lieutenant and now I need to check if I was imagining things in Trespass! flowerface

Oh...and don't forget Lady Trueheart's question about finding other head wiggles in Nic movies!!! chickendance

 that's it eva!

In the first movie Peter Fonda as Mephistopheles says to Johnny Blaze "NICE BIKE" (itself, it could be argued, a wink to Easy Rider) and in the tv spot for GRSOV Idris Elba, who plays Moreau, says the same thing!!  flaming

cool movie wink I think! and surely no coinkidink!!!! pinkp
