Hey Lula, thank you for the fabulous poem, you just made me realize how much i wanna appreciate the sounding beauty that i've overlook ps:this week the weather has been disappointing,it sucks*and forecast said it would be raining in the following few days...your cloud gazing has motivated me too,I get my sunshine through your poem
Oh, thank you all, I am glad you liked them and I am only putting myself on display here because i know this is inside everyine else too....all you gotto to is write the words!
Tues, these cloud ones were wtitten on cloudy days..amazing the depths you can feel and dee whn yourelly look up at a cloudy sky!
You know what folks, you cant help but notice that big, infinite, eternal, ever changing, magical picture that is above our heads right?!!!
yesterday it was a completely blue sky, the only cloud i i saw what looked like giant fingers on a pair of hands, in the sky.... amazing!
I liek to see what images I can find in clouds, it is a favourite pastime of mine. It is no wonder that the ancients saw gods and goddesses in the sky, one can really imagine walking there. And looking down at clouds from an airplane is also an amazing sight to behold.
The clouds are wonderful universal messengers I believe Lady True! i wonder, what words come to other people when you cloud gaze?!! l just love watching them, a really dark pair of sunglasses and you can watch the sky easily without harming your eyes!
I had a poppy experience today, not of the opium kind. It reminded me a little of Nic's poppy in the piece he wrote for Details magazine, for those who have not read that, here it is:
WOW. Thank you, Lula, for making my heart feel the sun and smile. Your poetry is a gift to us all. Blessings to you on this beautiful summer day, as you bless all of us so generously!
Beautiful Lula, you really have a gift with imagery and I can see the poppy in all it's brave glory as I read the poem. And I can almost feel as if I was with you as you had your poppy experience. Thank you for sharing it with us.
Thank you Lady Trueheart, it was such a beautiful unassuming poppy, really just Being, it would say it wasn't being brave at all, so humble.
I wrote this in the middle of the night on my phone after waking from a powerful dream i have no idea what it is about.. so if anyone has any ideas....
What use, sir, of the land with no use, and pines that weep, engaged drolly in the debris, interrupting unruly sweeping plains of colour dreams, no gravity on the dancefloor, dropping the cosmic, skitter skatter landing, the wasteland, no sound, without vision, barren beyond battle empty shells spying, silently............ the chills, sucked into the long dark tunnel, frozen nothing grasping the breath empty, surface above water, crowds echo torture, through these cells, running towards the dessert....................
The thoughts / feelings of a soul leaving this earthly world, and returning to the spirit / mother-father / life force from which it sprang. Angelic wings in a post apocalyptic landscape.
wow....i hadn't seen it Lady trueheart, thank you so much for that reflection, which is like a poem in itself! Definitely the return of the soul to home, but, perhaps more the landscape is a metaphor for life now, without wanting to get too personal about it. Thanks again, for your wisdom!
You are too kind Lady True and there isn't a blush emoticon so i dont know what to say.
My dreams are so incredibly vivid...does anyone else have a rich dream life? I have come to feel that dreams are both the projections of our deep unconscious mind onto the screen of our dreamscape and in sense only as menaingful as you want to make that be, and universal symbolism. that means both our interpretations of my dream stand, Meg.
I often have very clear and vivid dreams, intersperced with the usual vague and jumbly ones. If I am able to think about them as soon as I awake and dwell on them a bit, then I can remember them, but if I go back to sleep fairly quickly they are gone in the morning. I have had four dreams that I can remember in my lifetime that were terribly frightening, one of which was recurring and so bad I was afraid to go to sleep for a time. I have only had two really sexual dreams, and those were good , and I have had a few about Nic ,one of which was quite epic.
I do think there may be something to universal symbolism, but find those books that detail them sometimes quite silly. Culltural symbolism makes more sense. But it is an endlessly fascinating subject.
Lol, an epic Nic dream deserves to be shared Lady T!?! i have had a few in my time, but hy have changed in flavour over the years, I am due a a sexy dream I reckon! Lol, a poem about that might be quite something!
I absolutely do agree that there is universal symbolism and cultural symbolism , the former being more transcendent and eternal, and timeless. If like mine your spiritual, for want of a better word, experience has been that the soul in separatioin in this lifetime is infact part of the whole and awakening is the return to that Oneness/ Home (which for me is not at death, it could be in any lifetime through consciousness and is available in every moment) then we are indeed dreaming the same dream..and in sleep, when the efforting, resisting, controlling, wanting ego finally surrenders we return to that. And , this is exactly what you said my dream was about Meg, and you are totally right!
I just get myself out of the way Tues, and if whatever comes through me is wisdom, then it takes a wise heart to see it! I feel you are a poetic soul Tues, if you were to let that flow out in words i would love to read it sometime.
