*Sigh* I have to go there someday... Spots like that exemplify why I´m in love with Italy!

*double le sigh* I'm coming with you then my dear friend! My muse has gone into hibernation of late...this may do the trick! What a beautiful place!sun.gif

It's so true that certain environments elicit creativity. My first poems flowed from the pen when in (the much closer to home) Wales. With so much vibrant green, the valleys and the mountains, the rugged timeless landscape... It tapped into something within and poetry emerged.

Are you planning on a retreat of sorts our Loathly Lady? Or is this a virtual retreat..... which actually has it's own merits..just looking at certain pictures does apparently unlock the creative part of our brain!lotus

One of those questions we had to answer on the Drinks quiz had an answer about going on an adventure with your friends.  I clicked on that answer..........

I'M READY TO GO ON AN ADVENTURE~   WHEN DO WE LEAVE?

I fancy a solo getaway this fall... I was thinking Dublin, actually... but I´m all for a get together of the Cagealot wenches, yessir... and this looks like the ideal place (second to Avalon, of course, LOL!)

We could visit the villas where Byron and the Shelleys had their sojourns until tragedy struck (Shelley was drowned in these waters),  or the villa where D.H. Lawrence hid with his married lover to escape the scandal... or the one rented by Virginia Woolf... no wonder so many writers fell in love with the place, it just looks like prose poetry all around. Just imagine those trekking routes along the coast, those picnics on board a boat, those nights dinning al fresco surrounded by the sounds and smells of the Mediterranean...

Aaah a girl can dream, huh?

Oh Lula I intended to ask you something, hope I´m not intruding too much: why don´t you share some of your poems here? (That is, if you feel like it). I for one would love to read what Wales inspired in you... I have had an epiphany once (in Florence) but was totally unable to put in into words... I´m so envious of you guys who can write down a glimpse of your soul on paper!

Me too, envious I mean, I rarely can express what I really feel. But you write very beautifully, Dame Ragnelle.

Yes, Lula, I too would love to read your poetry!

Count me in on the trip to this poetic getaway ladies of Cagealot! I'm already virtually there!flowerface

Aw...so lovely of you to be so encouraging of my scribbles Dame Ragnelle! To tell you the truth...my poetry has transfigured more into spiritual musings in recent times and even more recently my muse seems to have fled! (need to meditate morelotus) It hadn't arisen for me yet to share anything, but if I do write something and as long as people here don't mind my duplicating in two places (most of my writing goes on over at Pure Love Energy) I'd love to share it!

i have a feeling we are surrounded with creativity here so it would be awesome if anyone felt to share their creative works in this bit of the forum!
If anyone wanted to start up their own thread for their stuff that would be amazing! multicolourlove

Despite Lady T´s kind comment, I´ve got nothing to share here. I´m incapable of writing poetry, period. But I´d love to read what your creative juices come up with, myladies!

Lula, you are a sensitive soul and your writings are good proof of it. I´m looking forward to read your contributions.

As I recall, White Fay has written highly enjoyable poems too.... Care to post them here, my friend?
