Has the movie been released in theatres in the UK? I saw it 2 weeks ago. It is FABULOUS. I am going to see it again in a another week or so. It is doing very well. It was only released in about 1700 theatres and made 6.2 million USD the first weekend. It is number one in the independent films and if it was compared to the movies that went out in the 3000 plus theatres, it is doing quite well. Just think what it would had done if it was in 3000 theatres. I am very happy with the outcome so far. Critics hate it, but they always hate movies like this. The people are loving it.
I really want to see it before then if I can, I know it's been absolutely crucified....no pun, but it's the Cageman and ill make my own mind up, not that of critics!
I am sorry it will not be released there. It is fantastic and I hope you can see it soon. As far as critics are concerned, they are the sum of the earth.
Yeah, I figured the Christian factor would make it a big theatre draw, those books are amazingly popular. I will have to check and see when it comes out here.

I too wondering where this film went? Here in the US it never got released at all at any theaters at all where I live. So I thought it will be an DVD released. So I never even seen that at all too here in the US. GEE WHIZ. What gives? My sister read the books too (I had not seen those) but will later on. My sister even wanted this movie as part of her Christmas gift this year. So I had not seen it for an USA DVD at all? Wonder if it ever gets to be released on an DVD now. SAD NEWS for all us Nick fans in the good old USA! It figures every time Nick does a good film it seems to get scrub by the critics all the time! Oh, well, maybe it will come out next year on DVD. Almost there now.
Just looked it up, and according to amazon.com, the US-dvd-release is 6 January, Nancy! So, you could just pre-order it, and then it will be a NICe, belated gift for your sister? So, don` t worry: it will get a dvd-release in the US!

Sorry for not posting this sooner. You are right Lady Roxanne! It did come out on DVD in January. YES! I brought two DVDs on the Internet. So I will be giving my sister hers once I see her again. Due to the weather and us being so busy, she don't have hers yet. I'm waiting until we get together to give her belated gift. But now it's for her Birthday gift being it's in January any way. She is very excited to be seeing this film now. I already had of course had seen it twice so far! I love the film and of course our Nick was great in this film. He was sort of a hero in the end of the film.

I also got two of them (one is a copy from the german dvd-release, and the other one is a uk-import-version; I like to have both versions of a Nic-movie, if possible)! I hope,the weather gets better, so that you could give it to her soon, so she can watch it as soon as possible! Hope, she will enjoy watching it! And, I agree! He was, as always, awesome, and, truly a hero, by landing the plane as save as possible, with the help of his daughter! I watched it twice as well, since I got it!
