What is the Ghost Rider timeline?

I've asked some people this but they never understand what I mean by it.

I've only seen both movies once and I really need to see them more times but I am very confused.

In Ghost Rider he looked like a punk, early 20's kinda guy. Which is what I think is the point. He had the cool, young looking hair, tanned and the sexy body multicolourlovechortle but seriously, he looked like a young hip kinda guy.

In Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance  it looked like he aged about 10 years; he looked completely different.

How many years passed between each movie, (besides changing the origin story) it just seems like no one was paying attention or many years passed between each movie... Maybe it says how many years passed in the beginning of 2 but I'm confused.

Any help?

I don`t know, either, about that, Enzo, but, if it helps, you could look into this Ghost Rider Movies Wiki, which you can find in this topic:

Hope, it helps you, find the answer!

Watched the second part again, last night, Enzo! And, I also watched the interview on the "special features", and, Nic says there, that at the beginning of this part, 8 years were between the deal and his being on a run in easter europe! And, also, if I recall, he mentioned it in some other interviews, that GR2 is a Re-quel, and not a Sequel to the first part! flamingHope, that helps clear some questions for you!flaming

What does re-quel mean, anyway? That it is a reimagining of the story? Then the second one would not be related to the first one, except by who acts in it?

Pretty much means it is Ghost Rider 2 but in name only.

I think, re-quel just means a re-telling of the story! That the filmmakers doesn`t have to take care of the timeline from the first movie, Lady T.! In that case, that Johnny makes the deals again with Roake, but, this time, not by accident, like in the first part, as he did cut himself while enrolling the contract! This time, he decides conciously, that he wants to make that deal!

Yes, of course, I had forgotten that detail. The second one is much different, I like both in different ways. But I am not a big fan of comic book movies, so I never put them on my favourite list! Still, that scrapping at the door part is awesome!!

The first one is good, and a great introduction to the character for those, who aren`t familiar with that comic, but the second one is darker, edgier and my fave of the two movies, and much better, as Nic playes both parts, in opposite to the first one, where the GR-part were played by a stuntman!flaming
