Oh my, Voodoo child, this trailer is chilling, and intense, and I think maybe the movie is going to disturb. Thank you for posting it, I had kind of put this movie to the back of my mind with all the Stolen talk lately. I am still shivering from that trailer.

According to one news item I read, which I can't find now, the trailer was leaked and unfunished, therefore some sites removed it by request. That brief scene with Cusack and Nic was great.

Now that´s obvious a pretty rough trailer, released by a foreign distributor. Normally those dont get leaked. I dont think the main company is happy about that. Lets wait for the first "real" one.

Please don't worry Voodoo chld, if you had not posted it one of us would have! Let's wait to see if YT remove the video, otherwise I am happy to leave it here. flowerface

I didn't feel it was obviously a rough trailer Flo or feel there was any evidence of a foreign distributor? (which would not be a problem anyway, we often see international trailer first these days ) but maybe i was just too excited to see it to notice!

We have alway said they are going to have to be very careful about how they publicize and promote this movie, due to it being based on harrowing real life events, and in the community where it is filmed, it is going to be very hard to strike the right tone. I felt this trailer (unfinished or not) did an ok job of it, but they are going to have to be caraeful not to sensationalise I think.

Yes, it is good to see something, we so often seem to have to wait ages to see a trailer or get distribution news, so this is exciting.

I did see it referred to in one article as a rough cut. The stripper scene surprised me with it's rather blatant exploitation of the sexy starlet aspect, and makes me curious as to how this movie will play out.

yes Meg, the same for me - 'ok job' was my way of saying i had reservations and that was it - seems a really inappropriate way to sell a film - because that is what they are doing with that - in context of the complete film that scene may be a different story but, for a brief out of context snapshot for the film's  promotion that is skating on very thin ice considering the subject matter, and it makes me feel a little uncomfortable.

The decision was made for us in the end then

Hopefully the official trailer will be released soon!

Let's keep this topic here awaiting for that day, and also because it has been quite an interesting discussion so far about the marketing and promotion of this film
