Wow they arrive fast there!

I just started FATHOM yesterday and am already 3530 words into it. Al is communicating nicely and the words are flowing.  In this one, Alessio gets captured by thieves who want him to help them find a large red diamond that went down with the Museum.  The Devil's Teardrop. And it has a curse on it.

Well, usually, when amazon has something in stock, they  usually deliver it, pretty fast! But, I haven`t got it yet! They say, it will arrive during the next week! Looking forward to, as I can`t wait to start reading it!   And, the preview of the third one sounds mysterious, with a little touch of "National Treasure" and "Ben Gates"!hide

No 'fraid not...For a goodly part of # 3   Alessio is "not quite there".   You need to remember that I have Used Nick's face for my main character but Alessio is Alessio, not Nicolas Cage. Not any of Nick's roles. You won't see Alessio all Action hero-style.  He's a gentle man with a big heart and a whole lotta ghosts on his side -- as Toni was in the first book. If I had to pick one single role that is closest to Al in temperment, it would most likely be The Weatherman. But even that isn't right on it.

I love Ben Gates. He's my favorite role of Nicks. Bar none. But Al is no Ben Gates.  Not by a long shot.

You're going to get to know Al a lot better in book two.  He was so driven in the first book, so haunted by his visions. In book two, you get to see him being happy and being the funny doofus he truly is. Once the visions start as he picks up on a terribly cruel and bloody serial killer, you going to see how he handles what he's seeing...or not. You're also going to see him misbehave as he has to come to terms with something he's just not ready to deal with.

Lots of character Development in #2. Of Al and his supporting cast.

In #3, it's the supporting cast that shine the most as they realize that Al has not been killed as they were lead to believe. But that for some reason he has been taken against his will by the 'bad guys' who want to pick that Psychic brain of his to line their own pockets.

There are two more planned, RESONANCE where Al finds out the truth of an ancestor's death. And SHAVI where DeDe goes missing while at the excavation of an ancient temple.

Lots planned for Al.

I know, P.J.! But, I like to imagine him in the role of Al, altough, it isn`t Nic, you`re describing in that book! And, it sounds a bit like NT to me, at least the part, you wrote as a little sneak peak, but, of course, it isn`t! I know that! But, it reminds me a little, as I read your little description of the third one! So, don`t worry! I`m sorry, if I wrote it, like that in my last post! grouphugThe second book must be arriving today or tomorrow! Can`t wait, to start reading! And, book #3 and the other ones, you plan, to write, sounds exiting and spooky! Looking forward to them!bouncyfrog

Nick would have been PERFECT for the role of Alessio Magarelli back around the time he did The Rock, Con Air and even City of Angels. Cuz Alessio is only 33 years old in Epiphany. But alas, Nick has gotten too old to play the Italian Tenor. LOL.  When I picture Al, I picture Nick a lot younger.  Now if I can get to a point where Al is in his  40's I think Nick could pull that off.

I'm actually writing the Werewolf series  with a lead based on Nick in his late 40's.  That's the Marrok Knight Trilogy. Nick could play him now! A Montana cowboy with a little something extra.

You can just imagine how I would LOVE to have Nick like one of the books I have been inspired to write because of him. I don't even have any idea how to get one to him, he's always hot-footing it all over the planet. LOL. Gotta lover our Nick. Mr. Workaholic.

Did you see the adorable Unscripted interview with him and Eva promoting the first Ghost Rider film?  My gosh he looks like Al from Epiphany!!! Lean, the longer black hair swept back, shoulders so square it looks like he left the coat-hanger in his jacket. He REALLY looks like Al in that show.  And he's so soft spoken...and he has a really cute laugh. It's always good to see Nick letting his guard down.

Shooting on the set of GR#1, must have been a hoot. Those two really get along well.  Have you seen it?

Yes, I guess, you`re right!

Wow! Werewolf series! Sounds mysthical! But, as I know, that you like that genre, it, sure will be fantastNIC!werewolf1

Hope, you will get the chance, one day, to get, at least, one of your amazing, NICspired books to him! LOL. Yes, indeed! Our workaholNIC!rolllaugh He just loves to work a lot, to keep his imagination and his body, which he uses as an instrument, in practice!starsmile

Yes, I saw that one! They both have a good chemistry together, and it is fun, to watch them, asking one another fan-questions! He looks so handsome in there! And, it`s very interesting, to also get to know Eva Mendes a bit better!

Oh I'm so glad you saw that interview. When Eva said she was a clutz...and it takes Nick a moment to realize what she said. I just love that interview. As I said Nick looks very much like Alessio starts looking in Epiphany. I love that hair length on Nick. Not too long, not too short VERY Italiano. LOL.

Oh my gosh I hope you're enjoying the book. You get to know the characters a lot better in this one. And I've introduced quite a few new ones.

My work on the Third one is coming along. I've got about 19,000 words down already.

I'll leave you to read.

Enjoy!

I love the interviews and movies, where he wears longer hair! It suits him! He looks so handsome!multicolourlove LOL, Si! As he is half italian, he has that handsome look!yellowflowergrin

I enjoy, reading it, very much! When Det. Summers speaks with this accent, it`s so hillarious, how he speaks! Is that "Chicago slang", he speaks? I`m currently, reading the chapters, where it gets spooky with Al`s dreams and the homicides! hide

Wow! You`re, truly, NICspired! Keep up your excellent work!starry

Sorry I've been writing like mad on FATHOM.

Yes Summers has a Southside Chicago accent.

How are you coming along in the book? Are you enjoying it? There's a whole lot of character development in this one.

I already finished it, P.J., and I loved it! I liked, how you mixed the happy times with the thiller-scenes with that sick guy! And, I also had to laugh alot while reading some of the scenes! Also the new characters, you developed, together with getting to know more about Alessio and the Magarelli-clan is brilliant! Well done! starsmileLooking forward, when the third part is, hopefully, availlable!

Hi Lady Roxanne,'

THANK YOU so much for the reaction to Epiphany!  You're the first person who's finished reading it and reacted.

Yes, I wanted to alternate between the bloody stuff and the joy Alessio is experiencing with DeDe and his new life with her. I was afraid to get too grim with just going for killing after killing. That's the way life is isn't it? The bad interspersed in the good. Otherwise we'd all be crazy!

I am thrilled that you enjoyed getting to know Alessio better. He was so DRIVEN in the first book you only got to see glimpses of the man he really is. My particular favorite is World's tallest Easter Bunny (until the easter egg hunt went to hell in a hand basket for him), this is where you really got to see him interacting with kids. He loves kids.

Once again, you get to see that -- while a gentle soul -- Al can be courageous, and selfless when it comes to protecting his loved ones -- although I'm not sure that his use of his laptop was exactly what DeDe had in mind when she gave it to him.LOL.

I'm so happy you mentioned the new characters. Because of his life-style, you'll always be meeting people as they come into his life. Those that get established will be appearing in future novels. People like Dorian and his sister (cast with Tom Welling and Neve Campbell), Dr. Red Moon (Michael Ansara), Guiliano (who I cast with Nick's own adorable cousin, Jason Schwartzman), Lindy ( a young Drew Barrymore),  And so many others.

Just let me know if you'd like to see a cast photo and I will post them here for you.

Now I'm writing away on FATHOM. Yes, our Italian Tenor is in trouble once again (well, there wouldn't be any books if Alessio didn't get in trouble would there!).  This story involves a kidnapping, a deadly diamond with a curse on it, and a wild search.

Thank you again, for you note, you have no idea how much I appreciate your reactions.

Wait 'til you see my Christmas Card LOL

Always your friend

Cajunshewolf

Hi P.J.,

really? I didn`t know that! Hope, more people, who read that awesome book, will react, as well! It`s, def, worth reading it and commenting on it!

I liked the way, you mixed it! If one only reads about killing and blood over and over again on most of the pages of a book, then it isn`t that fun and thrilling anymore! So, I liked, how you mixed the good and happy times for Alessio with the horrible stuff! And, yes, that was funny! I could, really, imagine Al in that bunny suit (reminds me a little on the "easter egg roll"-scene in NT2), and it was good to read, how he enjoys himself, being the bunny, and playing and have fun with the kids! rolllaughchickendance

And, to read about the different facets of Al, which shows his love for his wife, family, friends and all the people, which he really cares about, that, I think, that it`s this love, that gives him the courage and strength, to cope with that horrible visions and not going cracy, coping with that! Although, I remember that one scene, where it gets worse, before Prof. Red Moon appears and helps him, dealing with his gift, and explaining him many things about that ability!

If you want to post a photo of the characters, that would be awesome, and, would, maybe, help others, too, to imagine the characters of the Magarelli-Series-cast! multicolourlove

I`m looking forward to see it! I`m sure, it`s a great christmas card!stars

Thank you so much, for bringing so much joy to me and the readers of your books, by expressing your NICspired imagination into words!

Awww, thanks so much. I got another 2700 words down for FATHOM yesterday.

Hope to get more done tonight.

Right now I'm between cyber shops and using the WiFi at Wealthy Street Bakery as I treat myself to a birthday sandwich, my personal favorite, the BLT.

When I get home, I plan to have a Nic fest of DVD's...Family Man, Trapped in Paradise, and both National Treasures.

Sigh.

Hi again from the frigid wastes of Michigan!  It is seriously cold out there and they are talking wind chill of 30 below zero early next week! (That's fahrenheit!) So I may not be around during that week cuz I have to walk 3 city blocks to get here. But I can use that shut in time to write write write.

That said:

update! update!  update!

I am 50,000 words into FATHOM (the third book in the Magarelli series) and going strong.  I'm aiming this one at Spring. After I finish writing it, I'll let is sit for about a month then I will go in and make my own first edits. After I will send it to my editor so she can slice it to ribbons LOL, then the rewrites.  So I'm thinking a Spring release is a reasonable estimate.

And of course don't forget:

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=magarelli%20series&sprefix=magarelli+s%2Caps&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Amagarelli%20series

Also coming in late May 2014 from the MARROK KNIGHT series  INHERIT THE MOO0N. The first book in a planned trilogy. Once again my lead character  is  cast with our beloved Nick Cage.

In this series we get our WEREWOLF on as the lead character finds out a  part of his Romany heritage he never knew.

A very HAPPY NEW YEAR to every one here at CAGEALOT CASTLE! May your 2014 be spectacular!

My books will always be available at Amazon.com, I promise.
I have decided to publish THE GALAXY ACCORDING TO PHASER SPANGLES in an 8x10 size with some illustrations. Should be fun.
I feel really good about 2014 as a creative year. I will be attending MediaWest*Con 2014 and will have copies of my books there. Right now I'm designing a banner for my table.
It was a great deal of fun to come up with the Christmas card this year. Crazy Al!

Sounds comforting! As I`m in Germany, I order on amazon.de, and they usually don`t have the books right away, when you release it! So, I hope, they will release it there as well, as soon as you release it on amazon.com! And, it sounds like a true creatNIC year for you! :)
