This is my first time attempting this, sharing a piece here, so please bare with boo boos.
I mentioned in my intro that I'm writing a series of novels in whcih I have cast Nicolas as my lead character. I always cast my writing for myself but you won't see me mentioning that in the forword as I believe a reader likes to see who they imagine as the character. But here, in Nic Heaven, I cans hare that with you all, my fellow Nic people. Becasue my character Alessio is Italian and dark, he won't have Nic's beautiful blue eyes, rather hazel eyes. But how can Nic look anything but beautiful no matter what color his eyes are?
This will be my pencil sketch, to get it looking like Nick before I changed it into Alessio Magarelli. I hadn't done a portrait-style piece in years (about 5 or 6) so I wasn't sure how this would turn out. I present the pencil sketch and then the full color rendition of Alessio Magarelli.
I hope you like them.
And this is the final of Alessio.
thanks!

This is the cover of book one of the Magarelli Series, RELEVANCE. I did this myself, but the other books will have other artists. I have a young artist named John Lloyd working on the covers of 2 &3, EPIPHANY and FATHOM.

I will tend to use those pix of Nic that look most like Alessio...thing is he's more the age he was in The Rock, Alessio is 34 but his hair is similar (with better styling) to his hair in Bangkok Dangerous. I love this style of photo. I'ts call a drop out and the grays have been dropped out of the image. So itg looks a bit like my character.
You're so kind with your supportive words. Thank you so much again.

Relevance would be classified as a thriller, no question. Epiphany treads a fine line between thriller and horror, I think... Fathom and Il Scogliera go back into thriller. Relevance clocked in at 70,000 words....but Epiphany broke the bank at 90,250. Both of those are done and at my editor. I'm currently working on both Fathom and Il Scogliera...mostly jotting down outline on each and have been writing a few scenes in each.
Relevance's cover is manipped collage. About four different pictures to bring it together as one picture. I wish I had photoshop, I used to have it but the disk got broken...I can't afford the new version. I could do that cover SO much more justice with that program.
Thank you so much for the comp and the interest.

Ahhh but the goodly Sir Knight holds my heart, you see. I will have to draw him in full knightly regalia. Cartoons will be following...Nick is a great deal of fun to cartoon and I shall do my best to do him justice. I'm so thrilled with the accpetance I've received here...finally an area where I can talk about this young man where people don't go Eeeeeeeeeeeewwwww! I guess many people my age just find him too over the top...and that's one of the qualitiesd I love most about him. Thank you so much for the comp and the warm welcome. Why didn't I do this sooner!!!!
Cartoons to follow! I have one rolling around in my head where Sir Nick the Brave takes on Caer Bannog. Let's see if he can put THAT bunny back in the box. (for those of you who don't know who Caer Bannog is, you can find that Vorpal Bunny in Monty's Python's Holy Grail.)
Thank you all so much for the wonderful words! You make this old Cajun gal's heart swell.

Just read the first chapter! You are such a NICxellent writer, Cajun! That story sounds really awesome and NICxiting! You have a wonderful way, to describe your characters, so that it`s really easy, to imagine them! (So, no need for having Stage Fright! lol) Looking forward, to read the second chapter, when I have the time, and all the following chapters, if you grant us the honour of posting them here!

You have no idea what that means to me Lady Roxanne. I hope to have Relevance out sometime in October since that is the month the book is set in. Thank you so much for your kindness. (I love that there's a werewolf emoticon here. Glee)
