Speaking of Con Air...I found this really interesting to read. It is quite long so I won't copy it here, but well worth a read. All about the production of Con Air and lots of Nic  stuff too.

Those are really interesting and great stuff to read! I love Con Air! One of my faves! Great to read, how Jerry Bruckheimer and Simon West talks about Nic and the other cast! Thanks for posting it, Lady T.! :)

You're right Lady T, quite long, but very interesting.  Especially this bit:

The visit provided new behavioral insights into Cameron Poe, a process West and Cage continued by interviewing many inmates-ranging from veteran lifers to neophytes just getting used to the system.

I find it amazing, the detailed research that went into this movie.  Though, because of the detail, it hailed as one of the most successful movies Cage and Bruckheimer have ever done.

Awesome..I very much enjoyed that Lady T, thank you. flowerface

Interesting about the original story not having enough heart....in the final version, this is what drives the whole film and adds to the tension in Cameron's journey (in both senses of journey!)

Considering the collaboration between Simon West and Nic in upcoming Stolen, this  stood out for me:

West found himself impressed with the actor's devotion to the role-Cage even journeyed to Alabama to work on his accent-and his passion for ideas.

"In this, he's completely different than anything else he's done before. He's unbelievably hardworking and passionate about acting. I've never seen anyone so inventive and experimental. He's amazing to watch. The work he puts into a role is very impressive. I could not have wished for a more wonderful actor to do my first film with."

Those are great points Lula, and that last one could go in our 'Quotes About Nicolas Cage' thread. Makes me look forward to Stolen even more.
