Here is an interesting piece that Tues found about the composer who will be scoring 'The Frozen Ground'. There is more about him at the link.

Lorne Balfe has been hired to score the upcoming thriller The Frozen Ground. The film is written and directed by Scott Walker and stars Nicolas Cage, John Cusack, Vanessa Hudgens, Radha Mitchell and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. The movie centers on the investigation of notorious serial killer Robert Hansen who murdered as many as 21 women, kidnapping them and taking them out to the Alaskan wilderness to turn them loose and hunt them. Randall Emmett & George Furla (16 Blocks, The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call – New Orleans) are producing the thriller with Mark Ordesky (The Lord of the Rings trilogy) & Jane Fleming for Amber Entertainment. A theatrical release later in 2012 is expected.

Thank you again Tues and thank you for posting over here Lady Trueheart. I guess the soundtrack will be a huge part of creating the chilling tone og the movie, though it is going to be tricky to get that right without somehow sensationalising the subject matter.

Cool to know he is scoring the upcoming new take on The Sweeney too!

Thank you Lady T, it's very NICe of you to help me in this. You are welcome Lula, I'm 120% sure you would post it if you saw it, wouldn't you? Still unable to see Youtube videos, but I did a search on Wikipedia, I didn't ever know Mr. Balfe had a good working relationship with Hans Zimmer, shame on me. Can't wait to see the movie. Thanks once again.
