It so is Roxy! I have not yet been able to decide but thanks to those who have voted so far!
seeing your row of emoticons there including the vampire one...reminds me of my thought process about Vampire's Kiss in this poll. I really wanted to include it so i could vote for it as it is up there with my to faves. Vampire's Kiss (contrary to some people's perception on first hearing the film name) is possible the least supernatural vampire film. A genius tragicomedy or comitragedy, Peter Loew's hallucinatory spiralling descent towards his demise.....or is it..... But then.......there is that moment at the end where Rachel reappears and depending on your interpretation of that .....
Yeah, this one is pretty hard, I love all of these movies in different ways. COA and Family Man are more about romance for me, I guess, than the fantasy aspect. And I actually had to stop and think, oh right, Knowing is a sci-fi! It is so good on so many levels for me that that part of it just becomes an integral part of the story. In the end I voted for Face/Off. For this classification, in my opinion it is the best. Nic's performance really was like jazz in that one!
I guess most people would not classsify Face/off as sci-fi either lady T, more action, but at the time it truly was sci fi! Knowing is an immense movie, epic in all senses, I think I know what you mean about it, it is done with a more realist tone this is not an abstract performance from Nic so it feels very much like an intense drama, and the disaster elements make it feel like a disaster movie. I love the ambiguity of the ending and the whisper people, it is very beautifully portrayed and woven in as to not make it a very black and white sci fi even though there is clearly some non earthly intervention going on it kind of creeps up on you which for me mades it feel like an extension of the changing reality that was actually happening on earth. Next is amazing too. urgh..... all these movies are......I find it very hard to choose between the most recent 4 for example.all different, all brilliant!
Gosh, I've had a hard time choosing, but I voted. It was hard for me to hide that I have a huge crush on Seth, I love Nic and Ta Leoni in The Family man, but I tend to forget ist a fantasy film. Season of The Witch is swashbuckling movie, ...however, I finally voted for GHOST RIDER: SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE, I am prejudiced because I'm still in GHOST RIDER MODE.
I voted for Peggy Sue, was a really hard choice but was the first Nic movie I had seen so kind of means a lot to me, also I love when he sings and the premise of a second chance totally gets me.. wish I could do that.
