Wow.....I am shocked that Justice is even being released here in the US. It seems to me that it should be released on dvd in the States since it made a run overseas. I just think Nic is getting short changed with all his films being distributed at the same time in consecutive months. With GR:SOV being released on Feb. 17, 2012, it doesnt give an audience a repreave from Nicolas. I am a fan of his, but I must say that I would not be against a dvd release of Justice simply because I am looking forward to 2012 and am excited to see GR:SOV and Stolen and The Frozen Ground. I just think the distribution needs to be more even as is pertains to his lesser fims and more blockbuster type films. I also think the distribution needs to be within a month or two in reguards to the European releases and US releases. What are you thoughts guys and gals?! CLC
FantastNIC news indeed, glad that our fellow NIC fans in the US (and hopefully in Canada too Lady Trueheart) will get to see Justice at last!!
Wise choice Anchor Bay Entertainment!
thanks for posting it flo, apologies for my late reply..I have been battling with the mighty Demons Of Flu!
In case people haven't already seen it, Here is the announcement from Anchor Bay President, Bill Clark and comment from Endgame CEO:
"Seeking Justice is a fast-paced, edge-of-your-seat action thriller and Cage is outstanding in it," commented Kevin Kasha, Executive Vice President, Acquisitions and Co-Productions. "This crowd pleaser is a great addition to the Anchor Bay Films line-up."
"We are thrilled that Seeking Justice has found a home with Anchor Bay," stated Endgame CEO James D. Stern. "We look forward to working with them on delivering Roger Donaldson's stellar work and outstanding performances from Nicolas Cage and January Jones."
This is excellent news!!! Ghost Rider in February and Justice in March!
With regard to Nic releasing Justice on DVD as oppose to a theatrical release in the US, it really is being released no differently than any other movie except in reverse.
Instead of Justice being released in the US first, then hitting other countries as is usually the norm, it was released in other countries with the US being last on the list.
If you take a look at any movie with a theatrical release, it takes 3 to 4 months or maybe longer, for the movie to be released or distributed universally.
As a fan, I really don't mind seeing Nic's movies back to back. I suppose it'll be up to the regular movie goer, if they feel the same.
I'm too looking forward in seeing this film Justice. So he's done another thriller right after Trespass? This is a little different in story line but still will be good to see Nick in this film when it comes out. I don't mind seeing Nick's films back to back at all. More Nick the merrier! LOL. Love it and Nick.
Hi Nancy, yes Trespass and Justice came out very close together in the UK! athough are both thrillers, they are very different films indeed, Trespass was a very intense all in one place set, Justice has action elements to it but is also a very dramatic thriller. I hope you enjoy it, would love to hear!
and............wall to wall Nic is the utopian dream, no?
Hi Lula, Yes, I agree with you about wall to wall Nic is the utopian dream!!!! Oh, so the Justice has more action in it. Good. I prefer action/adventure/thriller type films of Nick's too. I got Trespass on DVD and enjoy watching the film. I first rented from Netflix movies on DVD to just watch and do like that movie. Nick was good in it as always. Very different character for him to play some one getting beat up then being the rescuer guy like an hero type character.
