whoah... this fan made teaser is chilling, moreso because of the lack of images but also the simple but scary soundtrack..it works somehow..

at first i was like wow a trailer that soon? they didnt even finish filming yet, but then i saw its fanmade=) im so excited for this movie almost as excited as i am for sj, mostly because its based on true events

You're right Lula! the fan-made trailer DOES work! Okay, so maybe I haven't been reading all of the trades properly but I didn't know that originally, they didn't believe the victim (Vanessa)?? Were the women being abducted, hookers or women with questionable backgrounds? Why wouldn't they believe her?

I guess, I'll have to wait until December 2012 to find out!!!

wow, the music is frightening! I'm looking forward to this movie, I didn't read the other post about the frozen ground but I have a good idea of what it will be like now. I'm not such a big fan of Vanessa Hudgens, but maybe she does a good job here :) Thanks for posting it Lula

It really lives up to it's name... "Teaser" it surely is!! action

Very effective I agree Lady T! 

Gina, I do not know enough about the details of the real life events but it would be horrific if any woman were not believed after going through that ordeal, and it would be despicable if she was judged on her 'background' whatver it might be! so if that is in the film, it would make it even more harrowing to watch!

Funny I found this just after asking on the forum yesterday when the film was to be released, this says December 2012?!

 Again, you are right on target Lula!  It makes the movie even more attention-grabbing if most of the original encounters are reenacted in the movie.

Ahhh... I see... you posted on November 12th, and the movie is coming to theaters in December 2012... Stellar connection Lula!

As I sit here, going through one of the *worst* Mondays in recent history ( heavy beer therapy is in my future this evening) I would like to thank ALL of you for your shockingly nice comments about the teaser trailer for "The Frozen Ground"
I has logged in just to see how the trailer was doing on youtube and I stumbled across this website by chance.
Believe me when I say that I was just not prepared for all of the positive feedback about the trailer.

I am twice floored and incredibly humbled by all of this. Even if I can't get a job out of this, the better part of today has been made fantastic by such a small group of people. Never-ending thanks for the much needed boost! Now I can lift the forthcoming beers in celebration and NOT consolation!

I will be happy to entertain any and ALL questions about the trailer, if you want to know more....

My Work at "The link"? Are you referring to my Soundcloud Account?

Yes, being from Anchorage and hearing about the production coming to town is what motivated me.

20 years ago, I would have had my 8x10 photo all lined up and ready to go, to even get just a "bit part".

Having no more interest in that, I figured I would be just a little bit "original" and submit music instead.

Being a long time movie fan, I found that just "the music" would not be enough, so, I cobbled together a teaser trailer, so that the music would have "company", so to speak.

Everyone else having gotten a part, and my trailer being the *only* trailer in existence (for now) I figure I made the right choice.

I've always worked alone, not by choice, but by venture. I would have loved to team up with a like minded person, had they made themselves available. Since they weren't, I learned to strike out on my own. A lonely procedure, to be sure, but at times, one of the best ways that I have gone.

 Well, You probably DO have the technology, at least, in your computer.

It's called WINDOWS LIVE MOVIE MAKER (version whatever year your OS came out)

WLMM is what I used for the teaser trailer.

Also a ZOOM recorder and an old (but much useful) Casio WK-1350 Keyboard.

As far as TODAY is concerned, ANYTHING is possible!!!

Welome skyy, it is always wonderful to meet the person who created something you admire and recommend to others, I am so glad you found us, thank you for making yourself known and sharing a little about how you made the trailer...it definitely set a tone for the movie.

Well, the Official Trailer WAS up on the web for awhile before getting pulled, due to copyright issues, or so they say.

I got to see it at least once, and now I want to go see it!!!

Mine was pulled off of Youtube as well and I still don't understand it. Doesn't Lionsgate/Voltage appreciate free publicity?

For those of you still interested, well, lets just say I had an Ace up my sleeve!
