Hi Gina, I do think psychotherapy is deep, Shi is a transcendent writer of depth and wisdom, but it is easy for one to understand and appreciate his works.

Thank you Eva, some people just think the Temple of Earth And I (I am glad you have read it) is his greatest writing, but who knows, the effect it has on me has been a keeper. Maybe you are right, Eva. China is nice when its not eventful...chickendance

@Gina: Glad you can anderstand that ^^ Sometimes it is annoying that I am bored easily becouse then when I want to watch a vid of Nic I'm all the time like "Come on, let's take a look on another tab, oh no wait I have to watch the vid, how long does it still take, let's take a look.." And well I do am interested in Nic I'm only so impatient! But I think that just lies in my character :).

@Tues: I think maybe there is a little misunderstanding, do you mean that link? I only just saw it, sorry! I am reading it now!:)

Sorry but glad you finally read it Eva, thank you!! my middle school textbook has extracted this piece of prose, I recall I read it over and over again, I felt like electricity passed through my innermost veins... but didn't know why my classmates laughted at my Chinese teacher secretly when he read it emotionally at the classroom...

This is the third time I read Living In the Hills, no unread book waiting to read in my drawer.

I started reading the final book of the "Nicholas Flamel"-series, from author Michael Scott, called: "The Enchantress". I am really looking forward, to get to know, what happens to all the character there involved and how it ends! If the twins re-unites finally and can stop the Dark Elders from returning and save the World! And, what happens to Nicholas and Perenelle Flamel? Will they die or somehow finally survive magically? Those questions will sure be answered! :)

Sounds like a very fantastic read Roxy, thank you for sharing!
Aheeem, I only think it's cruel to force teens to learn something tough to understand for their ages, Eva.

So, I'm reading a new book I bought, also helpfull for school. But in fact wich is surprising, I like it! It's called wolfs cross in English, here is the cover, though I have a different onel:

 57397225.JPG

It's about a girl that lives inbetween Poland and Germany (said short) who always wears a crucifex, and starts falling in love with a wounded German knight after he and the other knights have fought with a werewolf. But they can't tell that untill a priest relieves them from their pledge, and in the meantime Maria, the girl, also meets Darien, a werewolf whose famillie was murdered (werewolf famillie) by the same order of knights, werewolfhunters (as Josef), so many years ago. Since then he has been taking it's revenge till he meets Maria, he thought she knew she is a werewolf but she does not, and runs away when he is trying to tell her (but before he actually can she runs away.) Both Josef, the wounded knight she has to take care off and is probably falling in love with, and Darien, wer einterested in her cross, Josef just asked and looked at it because it's solver, and he knows about werewolves and what silver serves for with them, but Darien saw it and then knew she was being kept inside by it, so she couldn't transform into a werewolf.

As I just saw quite a spoiler on this cover, wich tells me probably Maria will fall in love with Josef, and not with Darien, who is after Maria because finaly he has found a 'female'.

Hi Eva it sounds like quite a interesting novel with such a storyline. a werewolf wears a crucifix. I hope you can go back to tell us if Darien reveals Maria's identity, a werewolf like him, or Josef does or she figures this out herself, will you?hug

I just read a brilliantly perceptive and troubling young adult sci-fi book called 'The House of Stairs' by William Sleator. It is about some teenagers who find themselves in a bewildering, white-walled, seemingly infinite room of stairs and are classically conditioned to hurt and betray each other. It's a very perceptive and even angry critique of conditioning, which was becoming of greater and greater interest to the U.S. government in the 70s. By extension, it's questioning the ethics of experimenters like Stanley Milgram and his famous experiment into obedience. A somewhat grim read, which becomes all-the-more hopeful when two of the protagonists start trying, with great courage, to resist the experiment. Short and dazzling.

Sorry I answer your question so late Tues, I haven't bin reading in it latley a lot either, but I have read what hapens =). Darien steals Marias crucifix when he distracts her by kissing her. He runs off and Maria runs after him. Without her being able to controll it she runs so fast ad turns into a werewolf... pinkp

Sorry, only just saw your reply, hope you don't mind dear Eva.
Thanks Eva, as one of those who is not familiar with werewolf-related stuff, I might be wrong but just judging from some review of this book I read about on the internet, it is an enjoyable read to the core.

Currently I`m reading "Alice`s Adventures in Wonderland AND Though the Looking Glass" by Lewis Carroll! I read it in english, so it`s a little challenge sometimes, especially with some of the conversations, but as I love those kind of challenges, I really enjoy reading it! And, I imagine, which role Nic could play!pinkp winkbiggrin
