"Warner Brothers has announced yet another slate of remakes of their most popular titles. Now fully open about the fact that they have no interest in creative ideas, Warners will be remaking all of their most popular films over the next 10 years. Since the departure of longtime studio head Jessica Goodman, Warner Brothers is experimenting with the process of not even hiring filmmakers to develop projects, but rather having computers randomly select films from the archive for remaking purposes.
Of course, all of these films are being developed in 3-D, IMAX, Smell-O-Vision. Warner's is hoping that by the time of release for these films, average ticket prices will have raised 10% further to $44.95/seat. What do you guys think? Are you ready for the "Harry Potter" reboot?
"Goodfellas" : This Martin Scorsese classic will return to screens soon enough, but with an all new cast. Replacing Ray Liotta as Henry Hill will be Jake Gyllenhaal, while Martin Scorsese will leave the director's chair in favor of new choice Zack Snyder. The Jimmy Conway role popularized by Robert De Niro is still up for grabs, but the word on the street is that Warners is looking to cast Nicolas Cage."
