In anticipation of the news reguarding the upcoming Shrapnel w Nicolas and Travolta being tentatively attatched to star, I was thinking that Tony Scott would be the perfect director to take the helm of Shrapnel. I am aware of John Mctiernan being attatched to direct, but his legal trouble could prevent him to make the film. I was wondering all of your thoughts on Tony Scott possibly being the director. I think Tony Scott and Michael Mann are the best action directors in the film business. Their films have an atmosphere and seriousness about them that is untouched by lesser talents like Jerry Bruckheimer and Michael Bay. Both Bruck and Bay have a certain hammyness to them that make them less effective. I always wanted to see Nic work with Scott or Mann and see what happened.
