Nic has mentioned this in past interviews, but boy oh boy it sounds terrifying....

I love the bit about the breathing techniques! lotus

I'm so glad Nic has not been dead and come back to life, lol!! Too funny.

That happened to me once, I spun (span?) out of control on a highway during a bad snowstorm, going completely around and around then going backwards at speed towards the median and having no control. It stopped just at the median. Luckily the weather was bad and it was late so the road was not heavily trafficed.  I really was thinking, this is it, I'm going to die. And, oddly, it is like I have heard others say, it seems like slow motion, like it takes forever, and I was completely calm. Till afterwards, when I was really shaking, but still had to turn around and go on my way.
I would have liked a cocktail then too!!

I'm glad that both you and Nic survived your NDE's.     I haven't exactly had one....but I did have an experience where I seriously thought I was going to die.

Years ago, I was on fertility drugs to make me super fertile.  On them, I would pop about 14 eggs at a time!  Anyhooo.....I had to give myself two shots a day.  One was with a needle like diabetics use....small and it's put just under the skin.  The other shot I had to give myself intramusculaly....it was about 3 1/2" long and much thicker.   I would have to twist around and give myself a shot in the hip or butt or I could do it in my thigh.  So here I was sitting on the toilet seat one day, pants down, getting ready to give myself a shot.

Now, normally you pull the drug/liquid into the syringe and then push up to make sure all air is expelled from the syringe.  You're suppose to tap it to make any air bubbles left rise to the top and then do a little squirt ......well...this particular time.....I negelected to tap the syringe (even tho I did the squirt bit).   Anyhooo.....I slammed the huge needle into my thigh and gave myself the shot.  To my horror, when I pulled the needle out......a gush of blood squirt straight up.   I was like...."OMG.....I hit a vein!".....and then it was......

"OMFG!    I PROBABLY JUST INSERTED AN AIR BUBBLE INTO MY VEIN CUZ I DIDN'T CHECK THE SYRINGE BEFORE USING IT!!!!!"

I put pressure on the gusher and simply sat there thinking......."I'm going to die"....and I pretty much waited......to keel over.

To my amazement.......I lived......to now tell the story!   LOL!

Anyhooo......while sitting there thinking I was going to die.....I found myself totally at peace and full of acceptance.  I wasn't really afraid at all.   It was.....in my mind.....Okay and a done deal.
