"Nic walked onset the first day knowing every single line of dialogue in the movie, some of them not even his. He could recite a scene that we were't going to shoot for three weeks, he knew every moment of that script."
If i hadn't read so many comments about how great he is to work with I would think he might be intimidating, always early, always prepared, always last to leave, always script ready, he is a perfectionist.
it must be like a photographic memory too, it is not as if Nic has lots of time to dwell ! It must give directors and fellow actors great confidence in him, a relief to work with someone so profesional. I dunno this is just speculation on my part but when you are that prepared it liberates you to play? you're not so caught in the remembering because it is already there? bit like learning a piece for the piano..once i get it then it becomes about interpretation and colour and so on.just thoughts!
The fact that he is said to come so completely prepared with ideas galore has to be seriously appealing to directors. It's prob one of the reasons why he gets so much work.....he can be counted on to be professional.
