I know there's Birdy, Leaving Las Vegas, and Captain Corelli's Mandolin, but are they're any other movies of Nic's that you know of that have been based on books? I was just wondering because I've already read Birdy and I really enjoyed it. I also plan on buying Leaving Las Vegas from Amazon so I hope to read it in the near future. As for Captain Corelli's Mondalin, I'm going to put it on hold through my library's website.

Not that he is in it much... but Fast Times At Ridgemont High was based on a book by Cameron Crowe where he went undercover in a school in America in the eighties to research the lives of teenagers, The Ant Bully is an animation adaptation of the children's book of the same name, Christmas Carol:The Movie is an adaptation of the classic story by Charles Dickens! bouncyfrog

Wow, those are some great sugggestions, Lady Argante! I've been meaning to read A Christmas Carol for the longest time now, but for some reason I've never gotten around to it. I've always been a fan of the story, though. I remember watching the version of it that Nic's in on some kind of Christian channel a long time ago. I liked it well enough.

I am a huge Dickens fan, I cannot name any of his work I have disliked, but my favourite is 'Bleak House'.
