It's a cool shot, isn't it? Although, I suspect it is a sneaked shot.
Sitting there in his own zone, he looks kind of Zen like!
Hope he has long johns on though, under those leathers.

starrythe   Nic   magic  is   gone  in   that   aerial   shot,    its   dreadful,   and   dreary,   and    creepy,  and   altogether   ugly.

Creative   Nic   better,   when   he's   making   magic   on   the   screen   he's   really   an   artist,   VULNERABILITY     makes   him   GOOD!

In   that   shot   he   reminds   me   of    the   penguine   in   batman,   it's   not   his   best   work   or   his   best   face!

The   public   knows   him   best    as   the   gentle   lamb,   who   always  tells     the   story   well,     its   very   telling,    Nic   portrays    the   seedy   side   of   life   in   a   fashion,   that   benefits   the   audience,      how   not   to   live   your   life,   like   in   face   off,  for   example,  in   the   over   the   rainbow   scene,
a   glorified   horror   of   a   life,   portrayed   in   such   a   way   that   you   wouldn't   want   any   part   of   it.
His   style   of   always   being   the   bad    guy,   really   hits   home   for   most   people,   he   does   it   best   when   at   rest.lips

Interesting point of view Candi.   For me, I completely FEEL the magic of Nic in that pic.  I see him as a man who is a deep thinker and a lonely one.  Probably because it has to be hard to connect with people when living in the limelight.  Everyone always wants a piece of the pie and a bit of time. 

Seems to me, he'd enjoy it immensely being left alone to himself to simply rest and relax and enjoy a tasty cigar.  That is what I see in this pic.  A man enjoying his solitude.

I agree he looks chilled out and peacefull and away from it all bet he dont get that chance to just relax and its a great picture and love the coat looks soo warm and cosy .Its definatly very nic .

I would think that the GHOST RIDER II shoot has been a physically challenging one since it looks like Nic has done alot of his own stunts and that the weather has been dreary and cold.  Sitting there all bundled up, enjoying a cigar.....must have seemed like the cherry on top of a hot fudge sundae.

I don't think Nic ever looks ugly, even in a bad picture. Glad you saw what I saw in it,  White Fay and CCMinx, I thought it was accidently symbolic, quiet in the centre of the storm.

"USED TO" is the operative word, dear Lady True.  My muse has been dead in the water for a very long time.   Writing these two bits is the first stuff I've written in years!  Oh...and yes....Many years ago I wrote some poetry about Nic.  Usually very silly stuff for the Toncas group.

The irony being that he is alone with a peeping camera and millions of peeping eyes...so the symbolism for me is that...works on many levels, symbolic meanings in many layers... just like Nic! stars

Like a child, he can just plop himself down anywhere and feel at home...

While I think the photo suggests loneliness; Nic doesn't. He simply states solitude.
