Actor Nicolas Cage has completed filming in Romania for the production of "Ghost Rider 2", leaving the guesthouse of Miami star has been staying recently.Mediafax, Cage would have moved immediately to the airport in Craiova, where it would have been expected from a private plane to go home.
According to sources cited by the actor's entourage. Cage wrote a few words in the guestbook of the guesthouse where he was accommodated, thanking staff for your kindness. "We thank everyone at this very special hotel. I'll never forget your kindness, food and warmth with which you have received," Cage wrote in the guestbook.
From what I understand, the shooting has moved back to Bucharest and there, apparently,it will last until the middle of December, then Nic will be back to the UK(I guess) and in January 2011 they will start shooting in Turkey. But I may be wrong...
Ah... thank you Voodoo child and Lady Trueheart..that makes much more sense! And dear Tess... Thank you for the link! I thought Nic's reported message in the guestbook was really beautiful. Having stayed at so many places across the world, it is wonderful he can still feel the magic in his environment and has not become immune to it...but then why should we expect any less from such a sensitive and aware soul? It sounds like the Guesthouse was a very comfortable and warm place to be!
Somewhere I think it said the movie shoots till March. Seems long, huh?
Turkey is another country on my list of places to see, it is going to be interesting to see how they receive Nic there! Can't be any better than in Romania, they loved him there!
I recall Neveldine and Taylor mentioning going to Turkey earlier on to scout for locations...they've still not made it to this part of Europe though! Turkey is not the uk is it! Humph!
I had a vague and distant hope, when Nic mentioned in an interview when Ghost Rider 2 was first mooted that the movie would take them across the churches (or cathedrals) in Europe....I had this notion....misguided... it somehow might be right here in the East of the uk, where we have a stunning and historical cathedral, which has been used as a filming location before!!*hopes dashed runs to the turret window teary eyes on distant shores*
Now, now, wipe your eyes, at least he lives in your country, that is a pretty cool thing. I am very unlikely to read that he is coming to film in Nova Scotia anytime soon. Although I believe that parts of The Boy In Blue were filmed here, so I know he has been here anyway.
Maybe NT3 will be international and he may get your way yet.
Come away from the window, Lula, it is chilly, and sit by the fire for tea and crumpets. We always have Nic here in the Castle, anyway!
