I am very excited to see the third installment of the ever unfolding mega adventure of the epic National Treasure movies!
For me these movies are light relief amongst the huge range of movie experiences Nic brings to the screen....with just enough nerdiness, intrigue, action adrenalin, and gorgeous Knight-come-hero-come-James Bond ( but far more handsome ) Benjamin Gates!
I cannot wait to see what treasure laden challenge he embarks on next, and find out what Riley has been up to (hopefully his red ferrari is still his own that huge ingot of gold in his rucksack ( yes we saw you Riley ) has stood him in good stead against the kinds of trouble he was in before. And how about Dr Abigail..will she be able to handle Ben's lack of consulting in decision making and will he be able to translate the various nuances of her 'So's?
I digress. But I'm beginning to feel that need to be hearing more about this movie soon.... I miss these characters!
It has been confirmed left right and centre.... by Jerry Bruckheimer, Nic himself and I happened to have an amazing chat with Diane Kruger on Twitter about it and her character a while back.. And yet it's been very very quiet!
Jerry B mentioned in this interview filming was to begin end of Fall / autumn early winter...
I have heard nothing, and I do look forward to it very much. I really enjoyed both movies, although I did like the first best.
But I love the history part of it and the way it's done, and I like Nic with Diane, John and 'Riley' (forgotten his real name). Also, I enjoyed Helen Mirren so much in NT2. She is one of my favourite actors, so great to see her in that.
I am hoping to find out what was on page 47 of the book!
This is not news but an interesting tidbit I just found.
also one of my favorites! this time around maybe they'll be a romance between Nicolas and the blond woman. guess they can't solve puzzles and find time to work out a romance on screen, then they wouldn't be working professionals, and people will lose respect for the plot. Integrity is the key word, and Nicolas plays it very well he pulls it off like the professional he is, romance nonsense would eliminate the seriousness of his character, that's why he carries the movie so well.
NICe to meet a fellow National Treasure Fan candi Apple! Thanks for sharing your thoughts! OOh yes..I am longing to knowwhat is happening with Ben and Abigail now! For me the romance between them is an integral part of the story, It feels to be the golden thread highlighting the character development and time scale and I love how it weaves into the adventure and gives the tension. Romance there is always a place for it in a movie for me!
Welcome again candi apple...great to see you posting!
