With a little help from a wonderful friend flowerface I now have every Nic film except for 'Astroboy'... which I've still not seen...but is soon to be remedied! action

it's taken me 25 years to build that collection. and then replace the vhs with dvd. keep rocking the collection! try to find sonny. he only has a bit part (a matter of contract i hear) but he did direct it and it is fantastic. one of my faves. very dark.

What is the difference tween DVD and Blu-ray? Apart from the fact the latter always seems to have a gazzillion more extras !ohmygod.gif

Forgot to mention, my collection still does not include 'Best Of Times'! Has anyone ever get hold of this tv movie?chickendance

LOL! if you have an interest in blu-ray, by all means explore. i only say toss because i am perpetually frustrated with technology. i don't want to have to build my collection again confuseas for best of times, i have looked and googled and done everything i can to find it. i don't think it's out there unless there is a vhs copy somewhere. nic and crispin? believe me i have tried. if anyone here has better luck than me please post! if u have an original, then i am simply GREEN!

my research has come up with a big fat zero... Except for the misleadingly titled 'The Best of Times' ( a 1986 film with Robin Williams ) But .... It has to be out there somewhere ronnie!spaceship sets controls to planet earth 1981.... spaceship

Hi Lula and everyone,
I never heard of Best Of Times? In 1981 year? Ok, I'll be checking around too. So far I had not come across it on video. As I do check in flea markets on old videos very cheap. Yes, I prefer DVD but I collect on both Videos and DVDs. As to Blu-Ray I don't see much difference in it only a sharper picture and sound. I do not care to buy it yet but the only good thing about it is that the player can play your regular DVDs on it. So I was told and heard. So don't worry about not having an Blu-Ray player and disc.

As you can see we have very little information on Best Of Times in our Nicolas Cage Hall of Honour, other than it was a tv pilot about a group of teenagers! I can't even find any photography from it..... I'm not sure it was available on video either! film

I wonder if Best of Times actually did exist! Lol! I'd like to see the evidence! bouncyfrogchickendance

I will try checking out that movie but I guess it's not on video at all. Sorry to say.
Oh well glad for all of Nic's films is on either videos and DVDs. I can't wait for The Sorcerer's Apprentence to come out on DVD. Do any one know when that will be?
It will be great if it comes out in time for Christmas. That will be an wonderful Christmas gift for sure.
